The IMG graphite cone in the IC86's 8" woofer is a long-term favorite of ours because it's stiff enough to cut distortion to almost nothing, rugged enough to pump out incredible deep bass, and light and responsive enough to deliver unbelievably clear midrange and voice reproduction. Our team married this incredible woofer to a pivoting, 1" aluminum dome tweeter, which is tough enough to keep up with the woofer yet agile enough to deliver the crystalline, ultra-realistic highs that demanding listeners expect. And you'll hear this ultra-strong, ultra-clear sound everywhere in the room, not just beneath the speakers.

And the IC86 is just as easy to install as our other ceiling speakers. With our Tool-Less Trim-Ring mounting system, installation takes just seconds and requires no tools-all you do is push the ring into the hole, squeeze down on the four mounts with your fingers, then twist the speaker into the ring.
